An Experience of Life

For the holidays we rented a small house at a good price. Marlies worked at home, she would cook, I would do the shopping. There were many "temptations" for their children. So many beautiful things to buy, but we lacked the money. They were unhappy, they felt their situation was unfair and expressed their disappointment. As parents, we felt we were questioned, we found the answer in the Word of the Gospel: "Seek first the kingdom of God ..", which for us, in that time, meant to be patient, to not react with unkind words and give the children the responsibility on how to spend the money.

We put everything on the table, and with them we decided how to spend the money for the remaining time. They began to consider well the money that was available. The basket was available to all and each one of us began to forget unnecessary requests to make room for another. We found peace in the family and the children began to help in the kitchen and to do the cleaning. We sang. We played. Harmony reigned in these special holidays and remained even after ... for a fairly long time.

Dear friends,

I did not finish the article that I wanted to send (publish) for this month, but may I offer you the second part of the meditation of the priest, Père Laurent Larroque, to over 200 priests and to over 10 bishops during the International Spiritual Exercises of the Marian Movement of Priests, at Collevalenza – Sanctuary of Merciful Love (Madre Speranza), June 21-27, 2015.

An Experience of Life

Reflecting on the merchant who sells everything because he sees the deal of his life, I thought about the time when it was presented to me the pearl of my existence: it was not a girl, it was not a job ... it was a mysterious and close being. Someone asked me: "Do you know that God loves you?". God loves me?

Until that moment I had imagined Him far away, sitting pensively on a throne, Who would have noticed me only if I had done something heroic. That He loved me before I had done something, I was appalled. Suddenly I found myself rich and I did not have to do anything, just believe and accept the love of God in every moment of my life.

This has enabled me to establish freer relationships, finish actions with enthusiasm, accept mishaps. The models on which to match my life disappeared, time became a friend, every person I met was a chance to try as well that my heart was capable of gratuitous love. The source of happiness was in me, there was no more need to seek for sources of joy. For this pearl it was worth selling everything else.

Spiritual Food 1510

Dear friends,

In order to help us to be not just “innocent as doves”, but also “wise as serpents” (Mt 10:16), which is often the harder part, especially today in a world filled with the beautiful easy lies of “the father of lies” (Jn 8:44), I took the time to summarize some of the wisdom brought to light by the group, “Catholics United for the Common Good” (http://www.ccgaction.org/).

Visit “An Astute Deviation of Our Attention!”:

I hope this brief article helps us to see through the “very deceptive line of argument” being presented by the many bishops, recently promoted by Pope Francis, at the Synod on the Family this month, October 2015! Which bishops are promoting the TRUE, authentic Gospel of altruism, which is love of God and neighbor, and which bishops are promoting a FALSE, non authentic gospel of disguised egoism, false love, false mercy and misguided compassion, which does great harm? “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2Cor 11:14).

And Experience of Life

A girl, who lived fully the Gospel, at just 19 years, became totally fulfilled and won the happiness that lasts forever!

"Happy, yes, full of joy" is the title that now the Church recognizes her calling her blessed!

Chiara Luce Badano. But what did she do special in her life, how did she arrive to this goal?

At 14 she writes: "I rediscovered the Gospel in a new light. I realized that I was not a true Christian because I did not fully live the Gospel. Now I want to make of this wonderful book the sole purpose of my life. I do not want to and do not I can remain illiterate about such an extraordinary message. As for me it is easy to learn the alphabet, so it must also to live the Gospel. (...) ".

It is significant that she is precisely a girl of our times, to have completed within a short span of life (19 years), the "holy journey" of life. It is striking that the path to holiness matured in an "ordinary" existence, with the impulses, emotions, anxieties and hesitations typical of young people, but in the ability built "together" to begin again always and to tackle even the dark moments .

It is this "extraordinary" normality, this relationship with God accessible today, that we think can be "put on the stand" for many young people today (and not only), looking for ideals not frustrated at the first hurdle.

P.s.

As I find time, I will publish on the web the complete book, “To The Priests, Our Lady’s Beloved Sons”, from the writings of Don Stefano Gobbi. Many bishops have given their Imprimatur to this book. You will find in these messages of Our Lady revealed through Don Stefano Gobbi a resemblance to the writings of Saint Louis de Montfort, Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and to the messages of Our Lady of Fatima.

Visit:
Our Lady To Priests

On the 8th of May 1972, DON STEFANO GOBBI was taking part in a pilgrimage to Fatima and was praying in the little Chapel of the Apparitions for some priests who, besides having personally given up their own vocations, were attempting to form themselves into associations in rebellion against the Church’s authority. On that occasion Don Stefano had a mystical experience called interior locution, which were repeated periodically (these locutions, by now more than 500, which are gathered together in a book entitled: “To The Priests Our Lady’s Beloved Sons”). In that first experience he felt an interior force that urged him to have confidence in the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady, making use of him as a poor and humble instrument, would gather all those priests who would accept her invitation to consecrate themselves to her Immaculate Heart, to be strongly united to the Pope and to the Church united with him, and to bring the faithful into the secure refuge of her motherly Heart. The origin of the Marian Movement of Priests stems from this simple and interior inspiration which Don Stefano received in prayer at Fatima.

The Bishop of Como, Italy, Msgr. Diego Coletti, according to the Norm of Can. 322 sec. 1 and 2 CIC, approved the Statutes of the Association of the “Marian Movement of Priests” and conferred on this association the Juridical Personality, July 10, 2013.

In these very difficult and deceptive times, Our Lady revealed through Don Stefano Gobbi:
“At Fatima, I pointed to my Immaculate Heart as a means for the salvation of all humanity. I pointed out the way of return to God. But I was not listened to. Now I want to offer you my Immaculate Heart as your only refuge in the very painful moments that await you.” (November 9, 1975)
“But I ask this consecration also from all the bishops, from all the priests, from all religious, and from all the faithful. This is the hour in which the whole Church must assemble in the secure refuge of my Immaculate Heart! … When I ask you for the consecration to my Immaculate Heart, it is to make you understand that you must completely entrust yourselves to me, in a total and everlasting way, that I may dispose of you according to the Will of God.” (March 25, 1984)

The “Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart Of Mary (For Religious And Laity) in the Marian Movement of Priests is:
Virgin of Fatima, Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and Earth, Refuge of Sinners, we who belong to the Marian Movement of Priests consecrate ourselves in a very special way to your Immaculate Heart.
By this act of consecration we intend to live, with you and through you, all the obligations assumed by our baptismal consecration. We further pledge to bring about in ourselves that interior conversion so urgently demanded by the Gospel, a conversion that will free us of every attachment to ourselves and to easy compromises with the world so that, like you, we may be available only to do always the Will of the Father.
And as we resolve to entrust to you, O Mother most sweet and merciful, our life and vocation as Christians, that you may dispose of it according to your designs of salvation in this hour of decision that weighs upon the world, we pledge to live it according to your desires, especially as it pertains to a renewed spirit of prayer and penance, the fervent participation in the celebration of the Eucharist and in the works of the apostolate, the daily recitation of the holy rosary, and an austere manner of life in keeping with the Gospel, that shall be to all a good example of the observance of the Law of God and the practice of the Christian virtues, especially that of purity.
Father, with the hierarchy and with our priests, in order thus to set up a barrier to the growing confrontation directed against the Magisterium, that threatens the very foundation of the Church.
Under your protection, we want moreover to be apostles of this sorely needed unity of prayer and love for the Pope, on whom we invoke your special protection.
And lastly, insofar as is possible, we promise to lead those souls with whom we come in contact to a renewed devotion to you.
Mindful that atheism has caused shipwreck in the faith to a great number of the faithful, that desecration has entered into the holy temple of God, and that evil and sin are spreading more and more throughout the world, we make so bold as to lift our eyes trustingly to you, O Mother of Jesus and our merciful and powerful Mother, and we invoke again today and await from you the salvation of all your children, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

In This Supreme Moment Of Need For The Church, The One Who Should Speak Will Fall Silent”!
(Our Lady of Good Success in Quito, Ecuador, on January 20, 1610).

Dear Friends,

My reflection for this month is an article that I recently published on my blog:
“The False Pope Will Fall Silent”

An Experience of Life:

Attracted by the shop windows and with some planning to revamp my wardrobe (I have to be dressed well, both for work and because I like to dress well), I was preparing to enter the store to buy two pairs of name-brand shoes, one pair to wear with my brown outfit and the other with my grey outfit.

Suddenly, I remembered a request for help that I read about in the latest issue of a Catholic magazine that I always read: a person described the poor conditions in which he lived along with his family, asking for help. His suffering for a moment became my suffering. I had talked about this with my wife, and vaguely between us we had considered to help out. I am wealthy and so my comfortable life continues, full of certainty, until the day that I looked in that shop window.

As I was about to enter, a sense of shame came over me. I said so myself, here you are now ready to spend only for your vanity a certain amount of money which could be of use to that family…

Instead of entering the store, I called my wife on the phone. We decided to transfer the money that was equal to the cost of the two pairs of shoes in the window, to that person, by way of the magazine ‘The Living City’. I did not buy the shoes.

The liturgy is a gift to be received in humility, not something we construct for ourselves, not a fabrication”!

Dear friends,

The last week of last June, I participated in the International Spiritual Exercises, at Collevalenza – Sanctuary of Merciful Love (Madre Speranza), June 22-27, 2015. A whopping four meditations were dedicated to the theme of the Eucharist and how Satan, at all costs, wants to take away or destroy the faith, love and humility before the Eucharist. If I find time in the following months, I will publish one or more of these meditations in my Spiritual Food.

In the Spiritual Food 1501, 1502 and 1503 (all together: “The Neocatecumenal Mass”: http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2015/02/the-neocatecumenal-mass.html), I wrote about my experience of the devastation due to the disobedience by the three founders of the Neocatecumenal Way, to not follow faithfully and exactly the liturgical books of the Catholic Church for the whole Church, as Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI had asked the three founders of the Neocatecumenal Way to do.

So many in the Neocatecumenal Way feel more and more important before people as if they know better how to offer the solutions for the Church and the world than Pope John Paul II or Pope Benedict. The more time passes in celebrating the Mass not in conformity to the liturgical books of the Church the more the Mass becomes something that exists to serve the Community and the people instead of an opportunity, a gift to be able to fulfill our first obligation to our Creator expressed in the First Commandment: “You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve” (Mt 4:10; Deut 6:13; Mk 8:33). The three founders of the Neocatecumenal Way, Kiko Argüello, Carmen Hernandez and Father Mario Pezzi, in their letter to the Pope on January 17, 2006, did not obey the letter (December 1, 2005) in which were articulated the directives of the Pope. In effect, the three founders of the Neocatecumenal Way expressed that they know better than the Vicar of Christ on earth what is best for souls and for the Church!

The manipulative maneuvers within the Vatican, just before Pope Benedict was to meet with the neocatecumenals on January 20, 2012, shows just how much power the Neocatecumenal Way has and how obstinate they are in not trusting in God through His first representative, the Pope, but trusting in themselves! God works through the humble not the proud! New members of the Neocatecumenale Way are not guilty of this great lack of trust in God, but without knowing it, they slowly slide toward the cult of man instead of going toward the cult of God since the leaders of the Neocatecumenale Way refused the guidance of God by way of the guidance of Holy Mother Church! Thus, as the years pass in this type of formation, especially regarding the way the Holy Mass if celebrated, these members become more and more imbued with this same spirit of which Jesus referred to in His prayer to the Father: “I thank Thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes” (Mt 11:25; Lk 10:21).

Pope Benedict XVI, in the General Audience in Saint Peter's Square, Wednesday, 3 October 2012, told us:
“Dear friends, the Church becomes visible in many ways: in charitable action, in mission projects, in the personal apostolate that every Christian must carry out in his own walk of life. However the place in which she is fully experienced as Church is in the liturgy; it is the act in which we believe that God enters our reality and we can encounter him, we can touch him. It is the act in which we come into contact with God: he comes to us and we are illuminated by him. For this reason, when in reflections on the liturgy we focus our attention exclusively on how to make it attractive, interesting and beautiful, we risk forgetting the essential: the liturgy is celebrated for God and not for ourselves; it is his work; he is the subject; and we must open ourselves to him and let ourselves be guided by him and by his Body which is the Church” (http://w2.vatican.va/content/benedict-xvi/en/audiences/2012/documents/hf_ben-xvi_aud_20121003.html).

The following was the keynote address at “TIME DRAWN INTO ETERNITY: Sacred Time and the Liturgical Calendar”, a conference held by the “Te Deum Institute of Sacred Liturgy”, Diocese of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Titular Bishop of Manaccenser and Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne, Most Rev. Peter J. Elliott, MA Oxon, MA Melb, STD, tells us:
“Our Pope (Benedict) invites us to see the glory of Christ Priest and Victim in the liturgy. He leads us into this glory, above all by his own example of a priest humbly entering the divine mysteries of the altar. By word and demeanor he reminds us that liturgy is a gift to be received in humility, not something we construct for ourselves, not a fabrication. Here he strongly rejects a decadent style of liturgy that set in soon after Vatican II. That style was contrived to be a deliberate break with the past.”
“Time opens a door into the cosmic dimension of liturgy. The Pope, as Cardinal Ratzinger, expounded a cosmological vision of worship. He insisted that the liturgy of the Church is not just the product of human cultures. Rather, liturgy intersects time and space, history and the cosmos, because creation is healed through the redeeming love of Christ. The Paschal Mystery of our Lord and Savior can never be separated from his Body, worshipping in this material universe through the liturgy yet worshipping in the glory of eternity, magnificently expressed at the Second Vatican Council in Sacrosanctum Concilium 8: “In the earthly liturgy we take part in a foretaste of the heavenly liturgy….”.”
In Milestones, Memoirs 1927-1977, the short autobiography that covers the first fifty years of his life, our Holy Father Pope Benedict explains how his love of the liturgy began when he was a boy. “Naturally the child I then was did not grasp every aspect of this, but I started down the road of the liturgy, and this became a continuous process of growth into a grand reality transcending all particular individuals and generations, a reality that became an occasion for me of ever-new amazement and discovery. The incredible reality of the Catholic liturgy has accompanied me through all phases of life, and so I shall have to speak of it time and again.”
“Cardinal Ratzinger’s critique of liturgical discontinuity rested on the conviction that authentic liturgical development is always organic. This understanding was favored by the Fathers of the Second Vatican Council in Sacrosanctum Concilium. But changes that followed the Council were not always organic. As he bluntly put it, organic growth was replaced, “…as in a manufacturing process, with a fabrication, an on the spot banal product.”
“Change in liturgy should not be concocted by committees or individuals or produced by experiments. That undermines the foundation of liturgical continuity - that liturgy is a gift, from God, through the Church. Yet he is frank about past problems, comparing the liturgy to an endangered fresco preserved by whitewash, which was stripped away, only to be “endangered by climatic conditions as well as by various restorations and reconstructions”.”

Benedict XVI and liturgical reform; Dom Alcuin Reid, OSB:
“As he (Pope Benedict) so eloquently explained as Cardinal: "If the Liturgy appears first of all as the workshop for our activity, then what is essential is being forgotten: God. For the Liturgy is not about us, but about God. Forgetting about God is the most imminent danger of our age. As against this, the Liturgy should be setting up a sign of God's presence.”
"Yet what is happening, if the habit of forgetting about God makes itself at home in the Liturgy itself, and if in the Liturgy we are only thinking of ourselves? In any and every liturgical reform, and every liturgical celebration, the primacy of God should be kept in view first and foremost."
Commentators have remarked on Benedict XVI's courtesy and humility. These, and his profound love of the Church, mean that he will take seriously the words he wrote not twelve months ago: "The Pope is not an absolute monarch whose will is law, but is the guardian of the authentic Tradition, and thereby the premier guarantor of obedience. He cannot do as he likes, and is thereby able to oppose those people who for their part want to do what has come into their head. His rule is not that of arbitrary power, but that of obedience in faith."
“Pope Benedict XVI will not act beyond his competence in respect of the Sacred Liturgy, but he will act, for he is convinced that, as he wrote in 1997, "the true celebration of the Sacred Liturgy is the centre of any renewal of the Church whatever."

One finds in “Spiritual Food 1507” the words of Our Blessed Mother revealed to Don Stefano Gobbi:
"It is lack of discipline to disregard with ease the norms which the Church has laid down for the regulation of liturgical and ecclesiasticl life. Today each one tends to direct himself according to his own tastes or free choice, and with what scandalous facility are violated the norms of the Church…” (February 2, 1979)

In the meditation below one finds these words:
In the face of this reality, the denouncement by Fr. Gobbi regarding error that is taught as truth on the great silence and omission on the part of some Ecclesiastical authorities in the face of liturgical and doctrinal abuses, seems to be timely and reflect a weak side and debility of some members of' the Hierarchy who lack a spirit of true communion with the Holy Father, and with the teaching of the authentic Magisterium of the Church, and apostolic zeal for the defense of the faith.
There are messages that affirm the influx of Freemasonry among the members of the Hierarchy. From this group will emerge an element that will through corruption take over power of the Church and abolish the sacrificial character of the Holy Mass. This man will act as an antichrist who will draw Protestant teaching into the heart of the Catholic Church. Protestantism denies the sacrificial value of the Eucharistic Celebration and recognizes only the convivial aspect of the Last Supper.
If on the one hand this assertion may seem strong or exaggerated, on the other hand, it seems to be evident that the actual fact referred to by a Salesian priest, a missionary in the State of Amazonas in Brazil, regarding the archbishop of the capital of that state, which decreed the prohibition of the Holy Mass in the parishes on the outskirts of the city on the second Sundays of each month, in order to encourage the celebration of the Word presided over by religious and lay faithful. Would this not be a subtle way to create doubt among believers between the most important value of the Holy Mass and the celebration of the Word, and would this not be a form of protestantization of the Church's teaching on the Eucharist?

At the International Spiritual Exercises of the Marian Movement of Priests, at Collevalenza – Sanctuary of Merciful Love (Madre Speranza), June 23-29, 2013, one of the meditations offered to over 200 priests and to over 10 bishops of the movement was the following with the title, Conclusion.

CONCLUSION

After the study carried out on the person and the role of the Virgin Mary in the book ASFPM (Ai Sacerdoti figli prediletti della Madonna), we reached the following conclusions:

1) FR. STEFANO GOBBI
The interviews that he granted and the conferences carried out by him in the cenacles of the MMP (Marian Movement of Priests) reveal his deep spiritual sensitivity and apostolic zeal. He does not fear judgments, criticism or endorsements regarding his person. His only goal is to lead with fidelity the fulfillment of the mission which the Lord entrusted to him by means of Mary, Mother of God and Mother of the Church.
Fr. Gobbi felt inwardly inspired to carry out the work of the MMP during a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady in Fatima. As he has said numerous times, the Message of the Movement is the continuation and the updating/carrying out of the message of Fatima. He supports the view that the message about die third secret has not been fully revealed. He believes that there is something that refers to the Church and that for diplomatic reasons has been kept hidden (1). With this conviction, he keeps promoting the MMP in his trips around the world in order to lead priests and the faithful to the message that on May 8 1972, it was entrusted to him while he was at prayer before the image of the Virgin Mary at Fatima, i.e., to lead all to consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to the spirit of interior and exterior communion with the Pope and the Magisterium of the Church.
Regardless of the mystical and supernatural factor of interior locution with which the author claims to have written the book, one cannot deny his theological preparation coated with a strong Marian spirituality. Since Fr. Gobbi's health has been threatened by serious cardiac problems, one can observe God's providential assistance and the maternal protection of Our Lady that allow him to continue to travel around the world spreading the MMP through the messages of the book ASFPM.

2) The MMP
It is the fruit of a Post-Conciliar reality, in which the Church has experienced a period whose results were contrary to its expectations, as has been stated by Cardinal Ratzinger in an interview with journalist Vittorio Missori in 1984. Pope Paul VI spoke out several tines about the situation of confusion within the Church. Cardinal Ratzinger noted the mistaken interpretations that were made in relation to the Conciliar documents, the spirit of disobedience and the fashion of wanting to renew all things thereby putting at risk the good that already existed. He referred to contemporary times as being difficult and of great tribulation, stating that the smoke of Satan had been introduced into the inner sanctum of the Church leading those who should be a sign of communion and unity to become a cause for scandal, disunity, criticism and questioning. The MMP then emerges, as a presence of prayer, love, and fidelity to confront the spirit of disobedience and neglect, in reparation for the lack of humility and zeal.
Through the witness of priests and religious that was presented in the first editions of the book, even in the form of a brochure, one can reap the positive aspect of MMP. Just like a tree is known by its fruit, so to the MMP brought life, and spiritual renewal, it rekindled the spirit of obedience and love for the Church in the heart and life of a large number of priests mud religious that had entered in a state of vocational crisis during the Post-Conciliar period.
In the face of the many movements that are legally recognized by the Church, the MMP appears as a form of spirituality. Fr. Gobbi insistently claims to be only the promoter of the global movement instead of its founder. The only' founder of the MMP in his words is Our Lady (2). To belong or not to the Movement, to find oneself in an advanced or less advanced state, depends only on how each member lives the three points that characterize the identity of MMP, that is, the entrustment of self to Mary through the consecration to her Immaculate Heart, the spirit of unity, love, and fidelity to the Pope and the Magisterium, and the observation of the commitments of one's own state of life. This way of describing participation in the MMP by means of measuring how one lives its content, has demonstrated to be quite positive compared to the existence of numerous ecclesial movements, which, although they have solid and well-structured statutes, are not observed with integrity by some of its officially enrolled members.

3) The CHURCH
After fifty years of the conclusion of Vatican 11 and the great wave of relativism that has spread everywhere, one can question whether in the Church today there exists internal unity, an authentic sign of Ecclesial communion. The presence of religious leaders and heads of State at the funeral of the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, showed the world that today it is possible to have more dialogue and respect before the diversity of cultures and religious professions. With the quick election of his successor to the Papal See, one can see the sign of Church unity, but at the same time, it can be questioned how it is that in the face of certain episodes there is so much silence on the part of Ecclesiastical authorities.
As an example, we can mention the condemnation of books with doctrinal errors whose writers continue to use catholic publishers for their publications (3) or still, the approval of some dioceses which encourage the faithful to attend certain films of a religious character, which contain scenes that are contrary to the fundamental truths of the Catholic faith, generating in this way, confusion and disorientation among the faithful (4).
As can be seen in this study, the work of Freemasonry - especially in Europe of Latin origin and mainly in South America, such as Uruguay and Brazil - was openly in opposition and persecution of the Church. Its philosophy promotes a way of life with a type of relative religiosity. Cardinal Ratzinger, commenting on the current historical period and on modern thought, described in the last homily of the conclave, before his Papal appointment, the existence of a form of ideological dictatorship in which everything that is relative is admissible, and where the freedom to profess the assertion of absolute or religious values is considered a fundamentalist vision (5).
To some priests, especially members of the MMP, these words of the Holy Father spoken on the eve of his election are the confirmation that there is a mysterious power of evil that is globally promoting religious relativism in order to destroy the truths taught by the Catholic Church. This mysterious power for some consists in the unthinkable action of Freemasonry that continues to act in the same way as in previous centuries.

4) The Book ASFPM
With reference to the type of spirituality of ASFPM book, it could be observed through the second part of this study, that in it is found the description of the message of Fatima, the spiritual simplicity of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, and of consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary as taught by St. Louis Grignon de Montfort. This statement made by an Irish priest which is found in the introduction of the book, can be verified as authentic and true (6).
Before the comments front those who wish to reduce the book to a handbook of sentimental reflections by denying its substantial content, one can truly find the existence of a soft language with maternal expressions clothed with compassion and tenderness, but which on the other hand, lead the reader to reflect seriously on the theological truths and about the behavior of life to be lived out according to the teachings of the Gospel. One cannot deny that the book is a radical call to conversion.
As for the doctrine of the book, as one Bishop, who participated during the spiritual exercises in San Marino, stated, and which is also found in the introduction of the book in the translation into English, there is nothing that is contrary to doctrinal and moral teachings of the authentic Magisterium of the Church (7).
One can say also that the reader finds in the book ASFPM a presentation of a type of spiritual and doctrinal Mariology with a parlance used by great theologians and writers of spirituality that preceded the Conciliar period such as Fr. Garrigou-Lagrange of international renown, and Frs. Emil Neubert and William Most. In addition to the four dogmas that refer to the Virgin Mary, these authors, in harmony with the statements of' many saints and Popes, considered the role of Mary with the use of the terms Mediatrix of all graces and Co-Redemptrix. Such terms are mentioned in some of the messages of the book ASFPM, above all, the second; as far as the first, it is used less frequently (8). Although concepts applied to the Virgin Mary that have been used by theologians of the post-Conciliar period are not Bound in any message (9) one can see that in the book there is no statement which is contrary to the moral teachings and doctrine of the Church.
The main aspect of ASFPM book is the presentation of a May's maternal love which is expressed through the image of her Immaculate Heart. The description of the spiritual motherhood of the Virgin Mary predominates with a rich symbolism that reveals her motherly love for all men, especially priests.
The prophetic-apocalyptic style of the messages of the book ASFPM is very strong. Starting in a subtle way, it gradually becomes predominant, especially beginning with the messages of 1989. There are statements that describe the theoretical and practical Marxism as the red dragon of the Book of Revelation. Although this description might seem too excessive in the beginning of the composition of the book, there was a rethinking of this by those who criticized this aspect, especially with the episode that occurred soon after the Marian year of 1988, that is, the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that at a pastoral level the book ASFPM is an excellent manual for spiritual reflection with solid doctrinal assertions: its contents express the true objective of Mariology, i.e., it leads the reader to the acquisition of a solid Marian spirituality, in which we contemplate Mary in the mystery of Christ and the Church and as a Mother and Teacher of the spiritual life.
For all that refers to the prophetic-apocalyptic messages, Fr. Gobbi's advice is valued, in which he invites the reader to assume an attitude of respect toward the message and at the same time to keep an interior detachment to the apocalyptic genre. The messages of the ASFPM book were drafted in order to express the urgency, the importance, and the necessity of prayer before a particular historical moment, depending on God's merciful action and Mary's maternal intervention for its implementation, modification, or cancellation (10)

An Experience of Life:

I was returning home after a pizza with Pino, a of mine friend. In front of our car, another car was driving in a zigzag pattern. It did not help to flash my lights, or honk the horn. Only by driving alone side could we put an end to this dangerous driving. For us, the two boys in the other car, in the grip of drugs or alcohol, cannot be strangers: they are neighbors to be loved.

They headed toward a nearby neighborhood, but irritated by our concern, they refuse to be accompanied and they drove away. Yet we could not leave them like that. We followed them into the village, where they hit against a bench. We tried a different approach: we pretended to be old acquaintances. A little reassured, they asked us for help to find even more of the "stuff", also indicating who could provide it. With difficulty we succeeded in deterring them and we busied ourselves in helping them wash themselves at a fountain: they were in fact stained with blood. In a lucid moment one of them said: "It’s not true that you know me! Who are you to treat me like this? It’s the first time that someone has been interested in me when I was in this condition."

Father Joseph Dwight

P.s.

At the International Spiritual Exercises of the Marian Movement of Priests, at Collevalenza – Sanctuary of Merciful Love (Madre Speranza), June 23-29, 2013, one of the meditations offered by Father Ivan Pojavnik, to over 200 priests and to over 10 bishops of the movement, was “The Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, part2”. I would like to offer a few paragraphs of this meditation which can help us to understand and to distinguish between true love and false love which greatly harms us. A great number of Christians do not realize the difference and thus not even the great danger of the very destructive poison of false love.
I added these paragraphs to the end of my article:
The Hidden Broad Road to Perdition

“My motherly plan is to give comfort to you in your sorrow, to pour balm on each of your wounds, and to give confidence and great hope to you in your discouragement. How difficult are the days in which you are living! This is the conclusive period of the purification and the great tribulation. In fact, all humanity is possessed by the spirits of evil, and my Church is shaken by the impetuous wind of errors, of divisions, of unbelief and of apostasy … The time is close when justice will espouse itself to divine mercy, for the purification of the earth. Prepare yourselves, all of you, to bear the pain of the great purifying trial (Our Lady to Don Stefano Gobbi – June 27, 1996).”

“Neglecting the prayer of the Rosary, after the Council a theological current formed a new god-man, whose cult has become very wide spread in the last decades. Accentuating in a unilateral way the Love of God, this current has practically obscured the Justice of God. They say: “God is Love and does not send anyone to hell and thus it is empty”. It is true that God does not send anyone to hell, but it is the definitive love of self to the point of despising God that drives the souls to the infernal abyss.”

“Each day many souls are being eternally lost! How many souls are going to hell because people no longer pray, because sin increase and reparation for it is no longer made, because error is followed with such ease!” (Our Lady to Don Stefano Gobbi – November 25, 1978).”

“It is a revealed truth: heaven and hell do have their inhabitants and will never end (cf. Mt 25,31-46).”

“God is Truth and Love. Without the truth there is no true love, but false love, that is love turned upside down: egoism. The cult of God revealed in Christ, Who is Love, without the Truth and Justice (cf. Sir 5:1-7), introduces adoration of a god-man who resembles a Santa Clause. This type of god-man has tolerated the diffusion of heresies in the Church, indiscipline at all levels, the pedophilia of a certain number of priests and religious, the violations of the vow of celibacy, has watered down penance and the announcement of the “Four Last Things”… The cult of god-man has lead to the gradual disappearance of sacramental confession and innumerable sacrilegious communions which have wounded the heart of the Church, so that She is in agony in every part of the world; and will lead to the horror of the desolation (cf. Our Lady to Don Stefano Gobbi – December 31, 1992). From this one can see that this god-man, behind the façade of love, hide an immense wickedness with which he attempts to destroy the Church and to seduce a great number of souls to eternal damnation.”

“In these last times, the struggle between good and evil, between grace and sin, between God and Satan, is reaching the summit of its power. It seems that, in your days, Satan has attained his victory, as during the Sabbath when Jesus lay lifeless in the sepulcher.” (Our Lady to Don Stefano Gobbi – April 16, 1995).”

“Spreading the modern forms of the cult of the god-man, Satan has seduced almost all of humanity, which by now lies interiorly in the sepulcher, that is in the underground hemisphere of the globe. Succumbing to the most subtle forms of such a cult, there has been spread among the Christians the great apostasy of faith in the God-Man. During Holy Saturday Our Lady was the only one who remained steadfast in faith, hope and charity. In this new Holy Saturday the lived consecration to her Immaculate Heart is a medicine which preserves us from the epidemic of atheism (cf. Our Lady to Don Stefano Gobbi – May 13, 1976).”

P.s.
Like many of you, I try to save as much as possible to be able to give financial assistance to those who are much worse off than we are. For many years I support two adoptions at a distance, in other countries, and when I have some left over, I also have offered financial assistance to the poor by way of Aid to the Church in Need.

If you read my “Spiritual Food 1506” of June (http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2014/12/letter-to-fellow-priests.html), I am more and more convinced about what I wrote:
IF IT WILL BE APPROVED OFFICIALLY, that is by the pope, in October of this year at the Synod on the Family, what Cardinal Kasper promotes, that is, to be able to have sex outside of marriage without any obligation to do or live what we as Catholics say in the “Act of Contrition”: “I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more, and to avoid the near occasion of sin” (sin according to God explained by His Church, the Magisterium of the Church, not according to the relativism of each person or of the world!), THEN WE HAVE ARRIVED TO THE GREAT PROPHECIES OF THE BIBLE AS WELL AS THE PROPHECIES OF SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI, SAINT HILDEGARD (DOCTOR OF THE CHURCH) AND MANY OTHERS! After Satan deals a mighty blow to the soul of the world, the Mystical Body of Christ, the Church, the world will deteriorate more quickly and go rapidly toward the infernal abyss.

If we have arrived to the prophecies of the false pope, then the Vatican is totally in the hands of the Freemasons. I receive frequently requests for money from Aid to the Church in Need, as well as confirmations of my donations. I already had my suspicions about the possibility that in a very covert way, Aid to the Church in Need would be taken over by the Freemasons in the Vatican. Less than a week ago, for the first time, the letter that arrives to where I live changed the letter head, the return address of Aid to the Church in Need. Before there was always printed on the return address part of the envelope:
L’Ecco dell’Amore
Aiuto alla Chiesa che Soffre
Fondazione di diritto Pontificio
Piazza San Calisto, 16 – 00153 Roma
(Behold Love)
(Aid to the Church in Need)
(Foundation with Pontifical Rights)

Now it reads for the first time:
Aiuto alla Chiesa che Soffre – Onlus
Con i Cristiani perseguitati
Fondazione di diritto Pontificio
(Aid to the Church in Need - Onlus)
(With the persecuted Christian)
(Foundation with Pontifical Rights)

I already had an idea that Onlus was together with the Freemasons. So I Googled: Onlus Masonry (Onlus Massoneria), and quickly found many connections between Onlus and Masonry. Then I Googled: Onlus birth control (Onlus anticoncezione), and I quickly found that Onlus spends a great amount of the money donated to Onlus to promote abortion, artificial birth control, etc.

I am sad about this even though I suspected this, but at least I know now that any money I give to a once very good and reputable organization approved by the Vatican, has now been totally taken over by those who promote the culture of death! People think they are giving their hard earned money to help the poorest of the poor but now their money will go to building abortion clinics around the world and to provide artificial birth control.

Spiritual Food 1507

Take courage; I have conquered the world!’ (Jn 16:33)

Dear friends,

It takes a lot of courage today to go against the flow, against the nice sounding slogans and rhetoric from the very powerful psychological bombardment of the mass media and from the educational institutions (including seminaries), as well as well planned diversion tactics. But without the daily Rosary, without Sunday Mass and monthly confession, without Eucharistic adoration, today it is almost impossible to not slide into the great apostasy of relativism. Saint Paul tells us that before the second coming of Jesus Christ, “that day will not come, unless the rebellion (apostasy) comes first” (2Thess 2:3). The virtue of perseverance, which is part of the virtue of fortitude, is fundamental. Many Catholics pray only when they feel like it, when there is a personal motive, when there is something in it for them, but few pray gratuitously to console the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and for so many souls who cannot pull themselves out of the habit of mortal sin without the prayers and sacrifices of others, as Our Lady of Fatima asked us to do with much insistence!

As you know, I am a member of the Marian Movement of Priests. During the International Spiritual Exercises, at Collevalenza – Sanctuary of Merciful Love (Madre Speranza), June 24-30, 2012, Father Francis Geremia C.S. offered to over 200 priests and to over 10 bishops of the movement these words in a meditation, with the title of the meditation, “The Age of Confusion”:
(The dates after the citations are when Our Lady gave the message to Don Stefano Gobbi.)

THE AGE OF CONFUSION
Part I

On July 2, 1937, Amelia Earhart was reaching the end of her round-the-world fight. She had already flown 19,000 miles in her twin engine Lockheed Electra airplane. She was crossing the South Pacific on the final stage of her journey before landing in California. However there was to be one last stop for refueling at Howland Island. It was a tiny speck of an island in the sea. Amelia had it recorded on her charts, but, unfortunately, she could not find it, as she flew back and forth searching for it. At 8:44 a.m. she radioed a U.S. Coast Guard cutter and said, "We must he above you, but we cannot see you." These were her last words before the plane was lost in the ocean. What happened? One researcher claimed that Amelia could not find Howland Island because the navigational charts at that time showed the island in the wrong location. She was following the wrong co-ordinates. So tragic! - and all because of incorrect numbers on a chart.

The point of the story is that, for Amelia. confusion and error meant death. What about us on our long journey of life? We too arc searching. What exactly are the co-ordinates of truth? What are the co-ordinates of Heaven? Today these co-ordinates have been tampered with. They are difficult to discern. As a result, many are off-course and in great danger.

The influence of deceit

The Evil One has obscured the co-ordinates of truth. And when the truth is obscured, disaster follows. "How, Satan, my adversary from the beginning, is succeeding today in deceiving and seducing you!... He causes you... to make shipwreck of your faith and leads you, all unaware, into error. (August 22 1976)

Because of the spread of these errors, many are moving away today from the true faith, bringing to fulfillment the prophesy which was given to you by me at Fatima: ‘The times will come when many will lose the true faith.’ (June 13, 1989)

The real power and deadliness of deception lies in this reality - that very often, sin is preceded by deception. If we were to look back to the Book of Genesis, one might ask, what was it that preceded the fall?

Temptation? Yes, but even more so, it was deception. After eating the forbidden fruit, did not Eve say to God, "The serpent tricked me"? This was the first assault on truth, when the Serpent deceived Eve, telling her, "You will not die!"

This is the reason why the Evil One is, first and foremost, the Ancient Liar. He seeks, above everytlng else, to deceive, to falsify the truth, to hide and cover over the light with his murky darkness, because it is the light that defeats him. Thus, Satan always wishes to extinguish the light. "The darkness spreads and the smoke of Satan seeks to cover everything." (March 10, 1977)

Satan reigns in the dark

One night, in the old Basilica of Assisi, St. Joseph of Copertino was praying before the tomb of St. Francis. Suddenly he heard the door open violently and he saw a man enter. The man walked so noisily that his feet seemed to be encased in iron and chains. Joseph watched him closely. He noticed that, as the man approached, the torch lamps went out, one by one, as he passed by them, until finally all of them were extinguished, and the intruder stood at his side in utter darkness.

Thereupon, the devil, for it was he, furiously attacked Joseph, threw him to the floor and attempted to strangle him. Joseph however, called out to St. Francis, and saw him come forth from his tomb. St. Francis, however, did not take hold of the devil. Instead he went and relit all the lamps, one by one, with a small candle. And at the gleam of these lights, the wicked fiend suddenly vanished. It was no secret to St. Francis, that it is the light that defeats him. (from St. Joseph of Copertino, by Fr. Angelo Pastrovicchi, p. 81-82)
"The seductions of the Evil One have become so insidious and dangerous that they are succeeding in deceiving almost anyone”. (August 7, 1976)

In our inclination to be deceived, we bear sonic resemblance to the King and the townspeople in Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, "The Emperor's New Suit". When the two swindler weavers came to town, they deluded everyone into marveling at the magnificent new clothes of the Emperor, made from the finest, most exquisite loom-woven material. It was told that this material possessed the wonderful quality of being invisible to anyone who was unpardonably stupid. So, of course, everyone admired the exceedingly beautiful clothes, which were, in fact. invisible, and which, in fact, did not exist at all!

Satan the great swindler

So too, Satan, the great swindler, has deluded the people by artfully inventing the exceedingly beautiful mirage of a "heaven without God", which in fact, does not exist at all, but is, in fact, a grand illusion. Our Lady tells us:
"This world is constantly drawing further and further from God... thus does it fall into the darkness of the denial of God, and into the deceitful mirage of being able to do without Him." (November 20, 1976)
"Paradise, that is, the real one, is not found on this earth" (August 15, 1976)

"Creation without the Creator fades into nothingness." (From Vatican II: The Constitution on the Church in the Modern World).

We have fallen for the haughty lying promise of the cunning Tempter that once rang out in the desert, "I will give you all this power and the glory of these kingdoms, for it has been committed to me and I give it to anyone 1 choose. Worship me, then, and it shall all be yours" (Luke 4: 6-7).

How many said yes to this deception

The mirage! How enticing it is. Our Blessed Mother said: "He has made you slaves of pleasure" (October 13, 1987). How many there are who have chosen an illusory happiness on the other side of God, east of Eden. How many have said ''yes" to this mirage.

"Satan has deceived this entire poor humanity, bringing it so far away from God and building for it idols of his own perversion: pleasure, money, pride, egoism, amusement and impurity". (December 8, 1993)
“Shield yourselves from that surge of words and images, which sweeps everything before it and contaminates it. It is in this way that my Adversary succeeds in leading you astray.” (March 25, 1980)

The vision of man has been so distorted by the Evil One that he can no longer distinguish the genuine from the imaginary. So he chases after these mirages in vain. "All is vanity and a chase after wind". (Ecclesiastes). Pursue them as he may, they continually elude him. He does not seem to know that they are not really what they appear to be, that they are only mirages. He chases after them, only to discover that they are very ephemeral, fleeting, transitory, evasive, ghostly and unsatisfying. And so he ends up being disillusioned, puzzled, and saddened because his heart is never really fulfilled. Yet he stubbornly persists in refusing to admit that there is no heaven to he found in these alluring mirages. How true, Our Lady's words, "They become intoxicated with emptiness " (December 31, 1984), infatuated with nothingness, enchanted by the mist.

It is as though mankind has been hypnotized. Has not Satan cast his spell over so many, drawing them into a deep trance? This trance consists in having lost consciousness of the reality of God.

A person in a trance is unaware of reality. He is lost in a dream-world, a make-believe world. He is like a sleepwalker. His eyes are open, but lie is asleep, asleep to God, asleep to elernily, asleep to the approaching judgment, asleep to the existence of Hell.

Sister Faustina, in her diary, describes her descent into the realms of Hell. She was surprised to discover that most of the souls in Hell did not believe in Hell when they lived on this earth. (Diary, no. 741)

The mission that our Mother has entrusted to us.
(From the letter of Fr. Gobbi of 2006)

The task that the Blessed Mother entrusts to us priests and faithful of the Marian Movement of priests, consecrated to her Immaculate Heart, is that of being the Apostles of the new evangelization. We must proclaim with new strength, with new courage. And with a renewed and absolute fidelity, the message that Jesus has entrusted to his Church. For this reason, we must be fully conscious of the obstacles that today oppose themselves to the announcement of the Gospel. These are: the relativism in Dogma; the naturalism in Sacred Scripture; the permissiveness in Morality; the lack of discipline in the Liturgy; the disobedience to the Magisterium of the Pope; the neglect towards the Eucharist; and religious globalism.

A) the relativism in dogma

We are living through a profound crisis of faith that leads to an ever greater diffusion ol'the apostasy.
Pope Paul VI said. "there is a great uneasiness, at this time, in the world and in the Church, and that which is in question is the faith." (Pope Paul VI)
And Cardinal Ratzinger: "Having a clear faith, based on the creed of the Church, is often labeled today as a fundamentalism. Whereas relativism, which is letting oneself be tossed and "swept along by every wind of teaching, "looks like the only attitude (acceptable) to today’s standards. We are moving toward a dictatorship of relativism which does not recognize anything as for certain and which has as its highest goal one's own ego and one’s own desires. " (Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, April 18, 2005: Homily at Conclave’s Opening Mass)

As a result of this relativism that today dominates also in theology, there is spread the tendency to not accept the definitive character of the truth of the faith. Thus, a few of these [truths] come to he denied, and others are completely ignored.

...You must announce to all, to the very ends of the earth, the Gospel of Jesus, in these days of great apostasy. In the great darkness which has descended upon the world, spread the light of Christ and of his divine truth." (December 8, 1994)

Let us preach all the truths of the Catholic faith, especially those which today are no longer preached. Let us speak again of death, of the judgment of God, of hell, of purgatory, of heaven, of the Cross that saves us, of sin that separates us from God, of the obligation to live our baptism by following the way that Jesus has traced out for us in his Gospel.
"Spread my light, by preaching the Gospel of Jesus with force and fidelity. His divine word must be proclaimed by you with the same clarity and simplicity with which Jesus has announced it to you.” (November 15, 1995)

B) The naturalism in sacred scripture

A quotation from our book: "Jesus is the Truth because it is He -the living Word- who is the font and seal of all divine revelation. [Yet some] work to obscure his divine word, by means of natural and rational interpretations and, in the attempt to make it more understandable and acceptable, empty it of all its supernatural content. Thus errors are spread in every part of the Catholic Church itself." (June 13, 1989)

Above all, we must defend the historicity of the Gospel and believe in the truth of the Word and of the miracles perfomed by Jesus. On March 25, 1982, Our Blessed Mother said:
Often, a purely human interpretation is given to it [the Gospel of Jesus], an interpretation which tends to exclude any supernatural intervention whatsoever. How many of its events are thus explained as legends or literary forms! Never before has the great mystery of God been given such a banal and paltry interpretation. As a result of this, the faith of many has become extinguished, and grave errors are spreading more and more throughout the Church. You will remain in the true faith only if you will give your full assent to all that is said in the Godpel of Jesus. Announce it to the letter; live it to the letter. Be living gospels; and then, the plan of the Father will be accomplished, anc the fire of the love of the Holy Spirit will purify this world…”

C) The permissiveness in morality

Because of secularism that characterizes the culture of our epoch, today there is a general tendency to justify sin, to consider it not as an evil, but as something valuable and good. To the concept of it being a transgression of the Law God, there is substituted that of a legitimate satisfaction of the need for one's own liberty. We must form the faithful to comprehend sin as a moral evil that consists in a violation of the Law of God and the rejection of his Fatherly love. Grave or mortal sin deprives us ol'sanctifying Grace, separates us front the communion of life with God and, if this separation lasts until the moment of death, it leads us to hell. It is today urgent to preach the necessity of individual sacramental Confession for those who find themselves in the state of mortal sin.

Against the custom of receiving Eucharistic Conmnution even in the state of mortal sin, we must recall the faithful to the obligation of sacramental confession before they come up to receive Communion. (Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, 305). And here Fr. Gobbi insists: I invite the members of the Marian Movement of Priests to frequent confession that must, above all, characterize the life of our Priests, rendering them always available to the faith who wish to have recourse to the Sacrament of Reccntciliation.

D) The lack of discipline in the liturgy

On Feb. 2nd 1979, the Blessed Mother said: "It is lack of discipline to disregard with ease the norms which the Church has laid down for the regulation of liturgical and ecclesiasticl life. Today each one tends to direct himself according to his own tastes or free choice, and with what scandalous facility are violated the norms of the Church…” (February 2, 1979)
Therefore. I invite the priests of the M.M.P. to be conformed in everything with regard to that which is ordered in the document “Redemptionis Sacramentum” ("On certain matters to be observed or to be avoided regarding the Most Holy Eucharist", March 25, 2004). Above all, I ask that you not participate in Concelebrations without wearing the liturgical vestments, and that you not follow arbitrary Eucharistic rites and prayers.
In obedience to what is requested by the Church, I invite all priests of the M.M.P. to wear always the ecclesiastical garb: clergyman's or tailored suits for diocesan priests, and the proper habit for the religious.
We must be recognizable as priests of the Marian Movement of Priests by the way we are dressed.

E) The disobedience to the magisterium of the Pope

“My motherly Heart is wounded to see how the silence and neglect of my children often envelop the words and actions of the Holy Father, whilce he is increasingly struck and impeded by his adversaries… his ver ministry is not sufficiently supported and furthered by the whole Church whom Jesus has wanted to be united about the successor of Peter.” (February 11, 1979)
“You priests, whom I am now gathering into my Movement to check this advance of Satan, you must, with the Pope, form a strong barrier. You must propagate his word; you must defend him, because he will have to carry the cross in the midst of the greatest storm in history.” (August 28, 1973)
“Unite yourself, through love and prayer, with all the priests of my Movement, whom I myself am bringing to an ever greater love for the Pope and for the Church united with him. You must support him with prayer, with you love and with your fidelity. You must follow him, carrying out to perfection whatever he determines for the good of the Church. In this, be a good example to all.” (October 17, 1978)

F) The neglect towards the Eucharist (we are still quoting Fr. Gobbi)

Unfortunately, the Year of the Eucharist did not bring to the Church a new blossoming of love, of adoration and of reparation to the Eucharistic Jesus. This, therefore, is the task that the Blessed Mother now entrusts to the Marian Movement of Priests, because the Eucharistic Jesus alone must he the heart and the center of our new evangelization.

On August 21, 1987, the Blessed Mother said: "I ask that there be once again a return to the practice of making everywhere hours of adoration before Jesus, exposed in the Most Holy Sacrament desire that there be un increase in the homage of love towards the Eucharist and that this become manifest also through evident but most expressive signs of your piety. Surround the Eucharistic Jesus with flowers and with lights; encircle Him with delicate attention; draw close to Him with profound acts of genuflection and of adoration.” (August 21, 1987)

G) Religious sincretism

In the face of the subtle and dangerous snare of a religious globalism which tends to make all religions equal, in these times the Church must proclaim to all the world, with the courage and the strength of her witness, to the point ot'shedding blood, that which St. Peter announced before the Sanhedrin: “For of all the names in the uorid given to men, this is the only one [Jesus Christ] by which we can he saved. " (cf. Acts 4:12)

He alone is our Redeemer. He alone is our Savior. Jesus Christ is the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, the luminous Morning Star, who leads us to live the new day of his glorious return.

With the greatest love and the most complete fidelity, let us all follow Pope Benedict XVI who was given to the Church of' these times, not only by the Holy Spirit but also through the suffering and the prayer of our most beloved John Paul II, who today is following and blessing us from Heaven.

He [Pope Benedict XVI] who has seen tie Church "like a boat about to sink, a boat taking in water on every side... '' (Station 9 of the Way of the Cross, Good Friday 2005) has been placed at the helm so that, in the tempestuous seas of these times, he can guide Her [the Church] with firmness to the secure port of the encounter with Jesus, Her Founder and Lord.

The "sleepwalker"

He walks and walks, but he knows not where. He walks endlessly, in every direction. but with no destination, because he is going nowhere. His soul is in a kind of prison, the prison of the trance. Satan has imprisoned his spirit like a bird in a cage. Our Blessed Mother says: "Why are so many of you again sleeping today?” (March 7, 1976)
"Even those who should he a light for others have been deceived and seduced by Satan and are now nothing more than shadows walking in the darkness." (July 24, 1974)

The “mad search for pleasure” (June 11, 1994), has become so obsessive and utterly consuming, that it is necessarily accompanied by a lapse of memory about the existence of God. Materialism leads to atheism. It is a form of atheism - the "atheism of amnesia". of the forgetfulness of God. "Men have forgotten God" (October 29, 1974), Mary said.

And what is the consequence of this sleepy unconsciousness to God? This is the consequence, as the Gospel tells us: "Blessed are those whom the master finds awake when he returns" (Luke 12: 37), and one might add, "and cursed are those whom the master finds asleep"! Is not this sleepwalker's trance to be identified precisely with the "drowsiness" of the "sleeping bridesmaids" of the Gospel, who were too late, who found themselves locked out of the wedding hall, only to hear, "Amen I say to you, I do not know you." (Mt. 25:12)?

Then, in the parable of the "narrow door", the sleepy latecomers experience a similar fate when they knock on the door, hearing those frightful words, "I do not know where you come from. Go away from me, all you evildoers!" (Luke 13:27)

And with regard to those sleeping priests, who have sold out to the world, Our Lady says of them, "They have become walking corpses, whitewrashed tombs." (March 10, 1977)

Age of confusion

The world has witnessed the "Age of Reason", and the "Age of Enlightenment". And now it has arrived at - the "Age of Confusion".

It is because of this pervasive deception, falsehood and illusion that our modern era can be described as the "Age of Confusion". It possesses a darkness which is deeper than that of the "Dark Ages" because the light of truth has been lost sight of, and there is no deeper darkness than the loss of truth.

Our Blessed Mother says: "How many there are who are lost each day, swept along by this widespread and dangerous confusion.” (June 30, 1982)
"Those who only yesterday were good and generous souls, swept away by the general confusion, become timorous. insecure and as though paralyzed." (December 28, 1973)

One of the effects of this confusion is futility, Confusion leads to an uncertainty about everything, in particular, about the meaning and purpose of life. Where the faith is lost sight of in the fog of confusion, hope dissipates into hopelessness. And so, for many, life can then seem useless, leading nowhere, and of questionable value, futile.

John Bunyan's famous Puritan book, "Pilgrim's Progress", written in 1678, tells the story of Christian's journey to the Celestial City. As the good-willed Christian made his way along the road, he encountered numerous dangers and ordeals. One day he found himself unavoidably having to pass through the wicked city of Vanity Fair. It was not long before his presence in the town market square caused an uproar. This resulted in his being put in irons and chains and locked in a cage!

The charge? - his ways and beliefs were seen as contrary to those of the townspeople of Vanity Fair. Therefore, indictments were brought against him for "speaking things which ought not to he spoke", and for the "disloyal notions" of his "principles of faith", which had caused such "commotions and divisions" in the city.

Accordingly, he was condemned for treason, and incriminated as an "enemy and disturber", a "lunatic and madman"!

On our earthly sojourn to the Celestial city, we too find ourselves having entered the unholy precincts of Vanity Fair. Our Lady tells us:
These times of yours are wicked times, because the hearts of men have become wicked, closed, cold, hard.” (October 13, 1992)
“My Adversary has succeeded in transforming the world into the city of Babylon, perverse and sinful.” (October 13, 1987)

An Experience of Life:

I always thought it would be a great value that people live together and that human diversity might be a source of great humanity for the world. This was the strong feeling that I was carrying in my heart, but I could not succeed in living it concretely in my city of Paris.

Thank God I met a Christian community that proposed to me to live the Gospel. I proposed to live that extraordinary dream that was confusedly in my heart and to live it in an ordinary life. No need to go halfway around the world. The poor were there at my door, at the gates of Paris.

What a discovery! Elderly people living alone at home waiting for a visit, homeless people in the center of Paris next to the cathedral of Notre -Dame who just need love, recognition, embodied in the encounter on the street where they live. Children and young people in the suburbs, lost at the foot of the towers, who found hope through schools of peace in which they learn to live together in peace and solidarity.

I've learned to live concretely the love for others, especially for the poor, as if they were my family, through common prayer, the daily encounter with the Word of God and authentic and true friendship.

What a joy to be able to live this reality, to discover that it is possible to live together humanly and spiritually in the great secularized Paris. Prayer, the poor, peace: behold what changes the world. Yes, the world can change! You can live the extraordinariness of the Gospel in the ordinariness of Life.
